Hi:Which AVR is the best for overall sound quality & reliability? Using PSB X2T's as main w/matching PSB Center Channel,Axiom QS 8's as rear speakers. My room is 14' D x 20' W x 8.5' H......want to try Atmos down the road perhaps. Thanks for any help!:smile
I'd personally go with the new Yamaha 3060 in July. Although you can probably get a great deal on the 3050 as a year old now. I've never tried the Anthem so I can't say on them but the Yamaha's are great for reliability and build quality. Atmos is awesome as well. I run a 5.2.4 setup and will never go back. Even when Atmos is not available I watch all my shows/movies in DSU(Dolby Surround Upmixer) so all 9.2 channels are active.
Hi: Thanks!!!What is your opinion on the up-firing modules for Atmos....using "ceiling" speakers is not a option for me at all will mount "rear" speakers on my rear wall very soon....but only option for the fronts are the modules....which I've read can be quite decent depending on the room they are in!Again thanks!! Also only looking at 5.1.4 at best 4 Atmos so wondering if the 2050/2060 would be just fine?:smile
The 2050 or 60 would be just fine. My .4 speakers are ceiling mounted but I've heard up firing one should be the same or similar for sure.
