I agree 100%! That is the future of local TV.

but not everyone in Canada or the usa can afford internet .so with that being said the government must keep up over the air tv because it does not cost the poor any thing to watch.

I suspect that the internet component of ASTC 3.0 might get geo. blocked for Canadians watching US OTA signals.
Another scenario is that the internet component will get redirected to a Canadian site. That site will replace US commercials with Canadian commercials. OTA simsubs anyone?

WVTT moving to rf 11 from WGRZ site

Looks like they have amended their application to prevent interference to WHEC Rochester. They have lowered the antenna height down from 267m to 140m and increase power to 3kw.I think that sinks reception chances in GTA.

Re " ... I can see that happening if broadcasters and studios successfully lobby ... "

I'd replace "if" with "when" and also add professional sports leagues.

WBXZ

I believe WBXZ could apply for rf 27 or Rf 13 with their current pattern.

can't see wbxz using channel 13 cause of the ctv Kitchener channel already uses that channel and would cause too much interference

I believe CTV Barrie is on 13 as well and it serves the GTA north of Toronto.

WBXZ

Barrie is moving to RF 9.I think RF 23 would return them against Global Paris as they are currently.RF 23 is my bet.Rf 27 is possible.Rf 13 works too.All better than being co-channel with CN tower.Remember WBXZ signal is directional east.

WBXZ and Global Paris

Currently both on Rf 17 .Global Paris moving to RF 23.WBXZ Could move to RF 23 too.Its the most likely choice.Rf 13 provides more separation.RF 27 co-channel to Peterboro.WBXZ have to get off rf 17.

WNLO New Tower Applied

New Tower would put WNLO 20 metres higher.
