Sasktel Max TV New Channels Discussion (2012-2014)

New Channels always generate a lot of discussion so this thread is for discussing new channels

You're welcome to speculate and discuss new channels coming to Sasktel but PLEASE unless it's been confirmed by an official press release, be clear about what is speculation and what is fact.

A post saying "a CSR said it was coming" is NOT official, however, it does put it in the "highly" likely category.

If its posted on the CRTC site that its been approved by the CRTC but Sasktel has not said anything, I would consider that in the "not very likely at this time" category.

Along with TSN1-5 (which they botched up a bit, more later), we got a large pile of new channels today too, including Series+ and Teletoon (French), CMT HD, MTV HD, CTV News Channel HD, Treehouse HD, and Fight Network HD.

Now, as of now, they kinda messed up the launch of the new TSN channels. While all five channels are available in SD (with TSN3 replacing TSN on 110), only 1, 2 (in its old position of 415), and 5 are in HD. Someone forgot to hit the switch on 3 and 4...

I saw a note that Fantasy Sports Network will be replacing Big Ten Network for Sasktel Max subscribers. I hope this isn't a sign of other TV providers dropping this channel. I would be really pissed if this channel got dropped from my system.

Big Ten Network is completely gone as of this update. I knew something was missing, but yeah, you totally picked a good time to drop a college sports channel (specifically, just three days before the start of football season)

SaskTel now supports TSN Go

It uses MySaskTel accounts for authentication, though I'm surprised they didn't use the MaxTV On the Go accounts...
