I went to their Burlington office , explained quietly that I had purchased the 6208 not 3 months earlier and felt that it was somewhat unfair that the 6208 product was obsoleted so soon , particularly after they had given me assurances that this would not happen for at least a year or two .
The CSR was exceptional , agreed with me ,and suggested I go back home and get the 6208 and bring it in for a straight swap .This I did ,as quickly as I dared on the roads , and returned to Cogeco ( all the while praying that the CSR was still there, she was ) jockeyed to get in her line ,I did , and she exchanged it for me .I only brought the unit , leaving all cables and remote at home .
In fact , another CSR , helped break open the box, gave me the 6412 , gave me the upgraded remote that apparently most HD subscribers had been mailed and that was it .
The service throughout was exemplary , as was the the later activation ,and now that I have been dealing with Tech over the PQ issue , I remain really impressed with their customer satisfaction focus .
I tend to be cynical ( really ?), thought rather poorly of Cogeco , from the slowness in introducing new technology ,to getting good service ( I remember hours on hold with the WAVE problems ), but something has changed for the better at this company and I am truly one satisfied customer .
