I personally don't like the new guide compared to the 6131 - I believe we should get the guide that's used on Dish Network's VIP722K which is an upgraded version of the 9242 (Guide below)
Perhaps it got delayed as they are updating the guide? Joking aside the one feature that seems to be lacking is icons for the stations like picture shown above. If I am not mistaken didn't the old "LOOK" service have icon's before it got bought out by another company?
I wouldn't put much weight behind anything a Bell CSR tells you regarding a launch date for a new receiver. They're lucky if they know about it a few weeks after it's been launched, let alone 2 weeks before lol.
I wonder how much money Bell has paid Echostar to make the 6400 just for them. Now it doesn't work right. And Echostar will drag their heels fixing it since it is not used by Dish Network.
Why not just negotiate a reduced price for a large order of 6131s?
Who are the incompetent people at Bell making these dumbass decisions?
As I know you do not have a 6400 up and running, how can you even make this comment.?
I have had a few of these models hooked up and running, after downloading firmware I thought they were pretty nice. What was your impression when you hooked one up.?
Lets wait to find out the response from the general public when the receiver has been launched, knocking Bell for "something that doesn't work overly well" before it is launched is ludicrous.
Same Remote as what.? It is a new Model with a new Remote.....It is unique to the 6400.
@JoeLouie---> you be would be suprised, I have purchased a set of these remotes for my 9242, and personally speaking they are more comfy in my hands and the buttons are easier to press then on the old remotes, Also the buttons are clearly to read, I always found the numbers to be quite small compared to the number-pad on the newer style remote that dish uses
This pretty much sums up what we've been told regarding 4100's.
They're only available for RCP (Rental Choice Plan), not for purchase.
They're only available as secondary receivers for RCP.
They can only be added to an order if there is at least one HD receiver on the order currently.
Just talking with a Commercial Customer who was supplied 4100's to replace his failed 3100's in a Headend and he has to have a staff member press the power button every 4 hours, as the switch off. Bell TV told him that there is no way to disable them.
He contacted me through DHC, I told him how to stop them switching off. It is a shame when Bell do not understand a receiver they have sold for several years.
Heaven help us with the 6400, they will be clueless.......lol Sorry, more clueless.....
my 6131 started getting missing channels. after trying everything in the book and also reauthorizing it multiple times, taking it off account and putting it back on....Bell decided that the 6131 must be getting defective.
They wanted to charge me for a new receiver ... because mine was out of warranty ...what a joke...anyway...they are sending me a free 6400 on a rent-to-own plan which they will subsidize every month until it becomes mine....
the bell rep said that the only thing that needed to be done was take out the 6131 and plug in the 6400 and that would be it......
I have done my own installations in the past but for this..a Bell Tech is required to come into my home to plug cables??
Why is this required and why cant they just send me the box??
I just dont like random people in my home.
