yea they are only good if they have the current smartcards. i called them about it once and they will give you a card for around $60.00 to use for it. not worth it
each card has a different design on it. if it says dish network on the card its way too old and if it is blue with a yellow arrow it is a nagra 2 card which was the last card they used. the current cards (the ones i have) have a black bar on one end and a blue bar on the other and white in the middle of the card that has bell expressvu in black letters. those are from my experice. they may be a little different now with the new bell tv logo on it
Some of these cards are still good. I believe that any smart cards beginning with S0459****** and up are good, but I'm sure that Pinza or someone else will correct me on that lol.
Bell sells smart cards cheap if your is missing (around $20). If you get the card and call bell to remove the receivers from your name, you can sell them to other bell customers or others looking to get bell satellite TV.
I think even spending $20 on a card for a 2700 or 3100 (that is what this thread is about) is a bit much as they don't cost that much with a card and fully working.
You could try selling it $10-$15.It probably won't even be an easy sell. Also if it has not been removed off your Bell account, you will need to call Bell to have them remove it.It will probably require some time on your part.So unless you are willing to put time into it,its probably easier throwing it out.
If you don't sell, please take it (and anything similar you have at home) to an electronics recycling depot. You can search the web for locations for your area.
