I was getting KETV on Galaxy 28. I know it's not always being aired, and I didn't really watch it. But it was nice to know that I was aiming at the right satellite.
But I'm looking for another strong transmitter to re-aim the dish, now that I've "tweaked" it.

I picked up a news feed @ 11960/28800/H that had a strong signal while the dish was pointed to 87W.
Is that from 87W?, or is it really 89W?

I'm pretty sure I have SES 2, 87W tuned in the best I can now get as I did tune in the news feed at 11960/29271/H but now also get reception of the Patient Channel (30 to 50% Q.) But no LPB which I used to be able to rely on.

Or just give up on those satellites , now the trees have grown, or is it Sunspots?

This might help you identify signals. It's a near real time spectrum analyser.
Based on this, I think the signal your seeing at 11960 is 87w Horiz.

Play around with it, it's really cool what they are doing there.
