Question N64 Banjo-Tooie Cartridge Question

I hauled the old N64 out of the closet and hooked it up to play some Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie. While Kazooie works just fine (as well as all the other cartridges I have, like Major League Baseball Featuring Ken Griffey, Jr. ), when I put Tooie in and turn it on, the game isn't centered on the screen and it has a black bar at the bottom of it where the picture should be. Obviously, this doesn't make it easy to play the game properly when you can't see important parts of the game.

It never did anything like this in the past and neither the cartridge nor the N64 has been damaged in anyway since being put in storage.

Any suggestions on what might be causing this and is there any way to fix it?

Try cleaning the contacts on the cartridge with a q-tip. They are copper, so some rubbing alcohol should be ok to. I keep the N64 for Banjo

If you get really jammed, there are one or two of the Banjo games on XBOX live.

Thanks for the tips guys! I had heard about being able to clean the N64 cartridges with a Q-Tip and some rubbing alcohol, but I just wanted to be sure that it was really OK to do it. The last thing I want to do is damage the cartridge somehow.

As for the downloadable XBOX 360 Arcade versions of Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie, has anyone ever tried these? Are they as good as the real thing or have they been "improved"? On an unrelated note, FWIW, I wasn't particularly impressed with Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts on the XBOX 360 as it was a completely different style of gameplay than the original Banjo games.
