John C Reilly plays, uh, John. He's a middle aged guy who has been in a funk (love life wise) since his wife left him seven years ago. Things turn around one night when he meets Molly (Marisa Tomei). Their relationship quickly blossoms, but things get weird when he meets Cyrus (Jonah "I'm in every movie this year" Hill), Molly's son. Cyrus is a 21 year old amateur musician who still lives at home and has a weirdly close relationship with Molly. Is Cyrus really ok with a new man in his mom's life? John will soon find out...
It was a pretty funny movie. Not over the top wacky as the casting of Reilly and Hill might suggest, but a lot smarter than their usual films.
I don't think Cyrus is playing in a lot of theaters, but look for it as a comedy rental at least.
