They probably don't think it's worth the hassle it will cause them. Making a change to how things work is a nightmare for call centers. Even if functionally it works the same, visual changes freak people out. I worked for a help desk a long time ago, and we changed one program, so when they hit ALT-TAB, only 4 programs showed up instead of 5 (one was moved to the systray)...and we got a whole bunch of calls...and our userbase was far, far smaller than Rogers. Still, I agree, the hi-res version of the interface would be nice. Even if it was user-selectable! (which I don't think it is)
That being said, the one thing the new firmware does NOT do is fix the reply bug where you hit FF three times...then replay...then the next time you hit FF you're at 4xFF right away. Grrr...oh well, if it makes a step towards fixing Fox Buffalo, I'll be pleased...ish.
