Rogers' Website Discussions

Just curious. Hadn't used the website for months but needed to check a phone balance.

Are French descriptions supposed to be on the English site???

Typical Rogers IT mess. I noticed this morning they had changed the layout of the myrogers.com page. Several hours later it reverted back to the old layout. Guess they couldn't make it work and messed up a few things in the process.

They're messing around again as discussed in the Anyplace TV thread. I called them a couple of weeks ago because I couldn't see my February bill, only January and earlier. I received a call this evening from a Rogers CSR stating that my problem was because they had two e-mail addresses in my files. I stated that nothing had changed in several years, but that all of a sudden I couldn't see my most recent bill, so it was a change at their end that caused the issue. Both my e-mail addresses work, but if two are a problem, I told him to pick one. He stated that all should be fine with the March bill, which comes out in a few days. We'll see.

When it comes to testing before implementing their website and their STB firmware leaves much to be desired.

I see they've switched to the "new" format again... Things have moved around a bit, so you may wish to familiarize yourself with the new layout.

For example, Anyplace TV is no longer on the overview page, as discussed in the Anyplace thread - it's under "TV" and not called Anyplace. Live TV may respond differently if you're on a Tablet app via your home WiFi, or on a computer, etc.

Since this partially talked about the live TV part.

Looks like you can no longer access the RoD website from mobile browsers anymore.. auto re-directs you to an APP link.

(while this was fine for say iPhone, where you couldn't do the video anyways.. things like a playbook could often.. but now is blocked out)

Also noticed there's a mobile optimized version of the overview page now, but every other page is not optimized. I don't understand the point of this redesign.

The overview used to take quite a while to load (depending on how many services you had). I believe it now it takes a lot less time and when you click on the tabs, those too are faster. It's an extra click if what you used before was on the overview, but I believe it's faster (even with the extra click) and perhaps allows the website to handle more customers without getting bogged down.

Tried to log into Rogers' Anyplace today and got some sort of message that didn't make any sense - something like
Quote:
There are no TV/Internet/Wireless accounts registered with your online profile.
I could see my last bill, but not see any information regarding TV or internet - only the message above depending on the tab I chose.

I see from another thread that someone else went to a store and their store computers were "down", so I guess there is an issue with Rogers' computers today..

@57

I had that a few weeks ago. I could get in, view my bill.. but when I went to try anything with TV, etc details.. said there wasn't anything on my account for it.

Resolved itself, after a few days.

Earlier today, I couldn't get ANYTHING to come up. Sounds like some back end issues.

System maintenance is often done Saturday night and extends into Sunday mornings. Sometimes they encounter major snafus that keep things down much longer.

As stated by yyzlhr, I called Rogers and apparently there's a lot of maintenance going on currently and everything should be OK again by Tuesday. I'll call on Wednesday if there are still issues.

The CSR to whom I spoke, said the internal CSRs are also currently having issues and it would be unlikely they could resolve any issue today since they couldn't "do anything" today.

I didn't hear any "announcements" when I called, but the phone was answered in less than a minute anyway.
