being a network station CW should it not be included in normal packages?
WPIX was one of the 4 "Superstations" long before the CW existed. All the CRTC rules about U.S. networks refer to the 4+1 (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX) + PBS.

If I remember correctly the SD Version of WPIX was included in
- legacy Basic or Classic TV when activating a DCT;
- Premier TV
- Popular TV
- the $6 Classic theme pack or the previous $10 Entertainment 2 package
- or as a pick n pay.

You should be receiving WPIX-DT in HD with any of these programming selections.

Question NFL Network HD?

Does anyone have any idea when or if NFL Network HD will be available on Shaw Cable, as I see it;s now available on Shaw Direct and it looks amazing...

OMNI Regional channels will launch across Canada today as a mandatory channel that all TV providers must include as part of Basic TV. More info in this thread:
CRTC wants all Canadians to receive News/Langue/program in multilingual langues?

The CRTC approved Shaw's application to drop OMNI OTA stations and just carry the OMNI Regional channels, which will provide the same programming. Shaw may discontinue the OMNI OTA channel for those regions that have one and launch the OMNI Regional channel as a new channel number in line with other specialties.
