Had to smile at the West Wing homage! On top of the taxi - in the Walter-verse- was a sign advertising Season 12 of the West Wing! If only....

Aaron Sorkin is sorely missed on TV.

Did they just drop the plotline with Nina kissing Broyles? Have those two been in a scene together since?

So, you guys like the finale?? I was reading the writers have about 8 seasons of material. Hard to imagine. That final scene of the season finale was jawdropping!

My opinion of the season finale is mostly good, but a little mixed. I like how they're pushing the envelope in terms of having us wonder "what the heck just happened? And what does this mean for next season!?"

What I didn't like was how they handled the 'death' of a major character: it was a cop-out, plain and simple, on par with your typical Trek-style alternate reality plot device. I was, however, fully expecting something like this, so it wasn't a big surprise finding out they went this route, just a little disappointing.

Cool Wow (spoiler)

That was quite an episode. My wife and did not see that coming at all. I'm a little confused, however. Did the observers say that Peter never existed, or that he died?

Tiny spoiler:

Joshua Jackson is still under contract for next season - so we know he'll be back in some form

You would have to figure that Peter is not really "dead". He is a key character to the show. I too was unclear as to what the bald men in hats said at the end about Peter.
Does anyone know?

The Observers dialogue:

“You were right,” said one. “They don’t remember Peter.” “How could they?” said the other. “He never existed. He served his purpose.”

You gotta love the use of temporal paradoxes as a plot device

Is that even possible? Or just our poor Human perception of events that occur on a different plane of existance???

The Star Trek reboot legitimized the use of time line changes to the point it is being done to death, and nobody's existance is guaranteed. At least, not if they are nonexistant characters in fictional representations of a world that has no future, past, or present beyond our imaginations.

Wonder if Anna Torv was written out because hubby's show (Human Target) was cancelled.

Not sure what you are talking about. Anna Torv (Olivia) was not written out of Fringe. In fact, she was alive in two forms at the end of the season - our Olivia and the other Universe's Fauxlivia. Future Olivia was killed, though.

Yes, correct now that I think about it. So much was happening in the last 15 minutes!
