Episode highlights include:

Land Rover G4 Challenge: Episode 1
Tues., April 10 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT

The competition begins with a grueling five-day training and assessment program at Eastnor Castle in the UK. The 54 potential racers – three from each of the 18 competing nations – vie for to represent his or her country. At the end of the trials, one racer from each country – Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, South Africa, Spain, Russia, Taiwan, Turkey and the United Kingdom – moves forward to the Stage 1 starting line in Bangkok, Thailand.

Land Rover G4 Challenge: Episode 2 – “Stage 1”
Tues., April 17 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT

Stage 1 of the challenge kicks off in hot and humid Bangkok before heading into the steamy jungles of Laos. The race opens in Bangkok: the chaotic, bustling, noisy, vibrant and cosmopolitan hub of Thailand where gold temples and saffron-robed monks sit alongside city skyscrapers. Crossing the Mekong River, the drivers experience a stark contrast in Laos. The lowland region features paddy rice fields, river crossings, log bridges, mud, amazing limestone pinnacles and rock formations. There is little-to-no Western influence in Laos and village life is very traditional. After some demanding and exhilarating competition and driving, the Stage finishes in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, with the competitors from South Africa, Russia and France leading the way.

Land Rover G4 Challenge: Episode 3 – “Stage 2”
Tues., April 24 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT

The adventure continues in northern Laos for Stage 2 through rugged jungle en route to Vang Vieng. The scenery at Vang Vieng up into the Annamite Mountains and into Luang Prabang is the most striking in Laos, offering incredible diversity along the winding and dangerous route. Luang Prabang, a city of contrast, features gleaming temple roofs juxtaposed with crumbling French provincial architecture. Here, the competition is as exhilarating as the scenery as the Russian driver snatches the leader’s yellow jersey from the South African racer and Belgium’s competitor pulls into third place.

Land Rover G4 Challenge: Episode 4 – “Stage 3”
Tues., May 1 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT

Stage 3 opens in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with a stunning urban competition on the world-famous Copacabana beach. Rio is a beautiful, bustling, cosmopolitan city where beach culture prevails – and pushes Brazil’s racer to a Stage Start victory. In stark contrast to Rio de Janeiro, as the Challenge contingent moves on, Bolivia offers remote and barren landscapes, sporadically dotted with small villages. Stage 3 finishes with a ride through a remote and breathtaking valley and a winding journey to the elegant colonial city of Sucre. But at an altitude of nearly 3,000 metres above sea level, will the hilly terrain impact the leader board?

Land Rover G4 Challenge: Episode 5 – “Stage 4”
Tues., May 8 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT

The Stage 4 Start includes a convoy through Potosi, which – at over 4,000 metres above sea level – is the highest city in the world. The scenic highlight of this dramatic final stage is the Salar de Uyuni – the world's largest salt lake with an area of more than 12,000 square kilometres – and the venue for an extraordinary high altitude competition. The last day of the Challenge thrills the gathered spectators as the top four ranked competitors – South Africa, Belgium, Russia and France – battle head-to-head to claim the top prize. But as altitude sickness and the tough physical demands of the competition take their toll, which competitor will take the Challenge title and drive away the ultimate winner?
