I always figured BrainDead was a one-off satire that reflected the situation at the time. The current situation could be easily satirized but would be more like a Being There sequel (or inversion thereof.)

It looks like CBS is mostly sticking to its scripted drama/crime/comedy formula. Good for them.

CBS News to Broadcast President Trump's Primetime Address Tonight

9:00 PM, ET - CBS NEWS COVERAGE OF PRESIDENT TRUMP'S ADDRESS (live)
9:30 PM, ET - MOM (repeat)

MOM which normally airs at 9:00 gets bumped to 9:30 PM and the repeat of LIFE IN PIECES gets dropped. The schedule for Pacific Time will remain as previously scheduled.

It appears the other networks plan to air their regular schedules so Bachelor in Paradise, American Ninja Warrior and So You Think You Can Dance will air as scheduled and the Canadian networks won't be affected.

EDIT: I checked the U.S. broadcast networks and they are all airing the Presidential Address as is the standard practice. CTV and City are airing American Ninja Warrior and Bachelor in Paradise, but I don't know if they just continued on. Presumably the U.S. networks will pick up where they left off if you are recording those channels.

CBS to Broadcast Its First Celebrity Edition of Reality Hit "Big Brother"

CBS today announced it will broadcast its first celebrity edition of reality hit BIG BROTHER. The special winter edition will feature multiple episodes per week during a concentrated run and include the series' signature Head of Household and Power of Veto competitions and live evictions. Julie Chen will host.

CBS All Access, the CBS Television Network's subscription video on demand and live-streaming service, will again share all the action from inside the house with its 24/7 live feed. Also, Pop TV will provide fans the exclusive live television broadcast of BIG BROTHER AFTER DARK, an unfiltered late-night feed from inside the house. Additional details regarding scheduling and casting will be announced at a later date.

The celebrity edition of the series is in addition to BIG BROTHER's milestone 20th season that will be broadcast in summer 2018.

Comment: Global will probably pick this up as well. it will have a "concentrated run," so Global will probably wait until the celebrity edition is over before airing Big Brother Canada. It's not clear if BIG BROTHER AFTER DARK will air in Canada, since Pop TV is only available in the U.S.
