Showcase

Brand new seasons premiering on Showcase include: Rescue Me, Burn Notice, Fairly Legal (Winter 2012), Weeds (Winter 2012), NCIS: LA, Law & Order: UK, Rookie Blue and Combat Hospital.
And if they would manage to get actual guide data to the providers, we (and our DVR's) would be able to know when new episodes are on rather than numerous repeats from seasons past with a generic description.

No mention of Season 4 of Damages on Showcase. It premieres July 13th on Direct TV.

Covert Affairs Season 2 starts June 7 on USA in the states, so it's another 3 months before Showcase starts showing it. Guessing they will be late on Rescue Me as well. I don't mind being a couple of weeks behind the US premieries but 3 months is unacceptable.

I need a few shows to watch during the summer and they are forcing me to find other means to watch these series.

Rescue Me Season 7 [HD]

Canadian Premiere
Sundays at 11pm ET/PT beginning September 11
Rescue Me, the hit series from Denis Leary and Peter Tolan, returns for its seventh and final season. The final season will deal with Tommy Gavin's (Denis Leary) recognition of how deeply he is in need of rescue and how time is running out on his last chances for redemption.
The seventh and final season will now premiere on FX on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 10 PM E/P, and will run on Wednesday nights.

I guess Showcase figures "Rescue Me" and "Covert Affairs" get better viewership and advertising dollars in the fall schedule. No sign of "Damages" in Canada.

@faston, I don't have any problems with guide data and Original Air Dates with Showcase. I'm not sure if they're all flagged as "NEW" since Showcase airs them later than the U.S. I use Mediaroom with MTS TV.

Law and Order UK and Sea Patrol

The press release in post 1 mentions a new season of Law and Order UK, but I'm not sure if they mean the season that was shown in the UK this summer or just a season that is new to Showcase, but was already shown on City TV.

I'm not familiar with Sea Patrol. It could be that Showcase just bought a couple of seasons and uses it as filler.
