Something awful is in the audio for this LightTV channel.
Like a repetitive popping sound, makes it unwatchable.

This morning I no longer receive WIVB 4.1. I did a rescan and it is now showing as channel 39.5 without station ID.

Anyone else?

Yup, getting the same thing. 39.5 is WIVB for some reason. I moved my antenna around and still getting a strong signal.

I had the same thing happen this morning and came right to this page to see if others had the same issue. Very weird but at least it's showing up!

Has anyone noticed that WIVB has added LAFF Tv to 4.4. This is a strange one because WKBW will continue to air it as well.

Yes, it does seem odd. Plus why skip 4.2 & 4.3?
Also WHEC 10 in Rochester just added ION to 10.4.

I checked on LAFF's website and it does list both WKBW/WIVB as carrying it on 7.2 and 4.4. I wish they would have added METV since it's not reliable for me, but ION I already get 24/7 year round.

WPXJ application indicates that the current antenna will be used for rf 24.Its the only Buffalo area station not needing antenna changes to change frequency.

Further...there is no Ch 26 in Downtown Buffalo.
In fact, there aren't any high power tv stations in Downtown Buffalo.

Roger that, understood, but given there has never been a high power tv station in downtown buffalo, of any callsign, I don't believe anyone could have sold ION a suitable antenna for their WPXJ transmitter just outside of Batavia.

It looks to me like they will be using an elliptical polarization antenna instead of the existing Horizontal Polarization. That should result in better end to end performance in the service area. Although the contour looks virtually identical. Contours generally don't depict performance.

You might be thinking of the Low Power RF Channel 29 station, WDTB that carries Daystar HD.
Maybe that station could have changed hands?? I could believe that one.. Wouldn't surprise me..
