I think we might be getting good tropo today with that warm air coming up from the south.

skip

Right now between the 22 dtv activity I am seeing many analogues coming in and KCPQ 18.1 is locking on and off with longer ons and less amount of drops and smaller drops too.

Heres one when the 22 fired up Kvos 35.1 dropped down to 30% from 98% here so I emailed Steve at KVOS bellingham and by that time it was back up again.

kcpq DTV 18.1 & 18.2

Well that was a nice little skip even right through the nigh up until just before 1pm no it has faded away, this time I did not see much from the other SeaTac stations the season is just starting.

Well the skip is building again? KCPQ is steady again 625pm

with all the stuff coming in from the seatac area and local bouncing I am getting more and more aware of how backgrounds signal appear on my systems now but I like the feed bacl as it does help in sorting out time wasters.

KBCB down too?

Hi everyone... Newbie here. Been reading the digital forum for some time and figured time to sign up and post. Very informative stuff here. So question for everyone. I'm out in Aldergrove and I noticed KBCB 19.1 went down the same time as CHAN-DT 22.2 went down. Anyone else see this or is it just me?

Hi, I'm detecting KBCB-DT's digital carrier on 19 but I never lock on it, so they're still up as far as I know.

KBCB DT

As of 132pm I am getting perfect the station was off a couple of days ago as there was a power problem and a tech had to be sent to manually throw on the power.

Lightbulb OTA DT Signal Strength Map from SEATAC station in Lower Mainland

In Dec. 2007, Gerry B mapped out the theoretical OTA signal strength received from a SEATAC station over the Lower Mainland. The map actually consisted of two pictures.

I've put the pictures together into one map. It shows the areas in the Lower Mainland where OTA reception from Seattle might be particularly favourable. Some of the forum members may find it useful.

The map can be uploaded from this link:

http://hyperupload.com/download/02a3...attle.pdf.html

After downloading the file, you have to add the .pdf suffix to the file name to open it with Adobe Reader.

Cheers

KCPQ Reception

Thanks Whidbey. I guess we can only hope that when SeaTac stations boost their digital ERP after Feb 2009, we may be able to pick up a few more. I can get KONG and KIRO analogue (although grainy) reliably here in North Van. I did get all the SeaTac-DT stations during one exceptional troposphere evening last summer. It' s frustrating being at the very edge of reception, but clearly amazing to me that it's possible to get any SeaTac stations over-air from this distance. The other DT channel which I can get reliably is the Tacoma religious station KTBW, with its 5 subchannels, but it not programming I usually want to watch.
