I don't know about Windsor, but in many areas the CBC will let other radio and TV stations use their tower for their antennas. Most likely this is a sign that there will be a new radio or TV station soon. To the best of my knowledge the CRTC hasn't granted a licence for a transitional digital broadcasting undertaking to the CBC in Windsor yet.crockett18 said:I noticed of Friday there was a big crane doing work on the tower on Riverside Dr. They appeared to be adding an antenna, who knows what it was, maybe soon.
Not necessarily. I have put in a word with my CBS contacts (CBS Corporation owns both stations). We shall see.50 and 62 have been doing this for about a month. Looks like its here to stay.
Yes, it was added last week. Currently it's just a mirror of the analog channel, but the rumor is FOX (the network) will be soon providing a national news feed for digital affiliates, with room for local inserts. Since WJBK is a FOX O&O (owned and operated by the network), expect to see it if/when FOX gives the plan a go.Hi everyone,
I noticed that Fox 2 has added an SD sub-channel (2.2) to complement their HD Channel at 2.1. Are others picking this up too?
Nope.I only have the ATSC tuner on one TV, and notice lately that there are massive static problems at times with Fox 2's analog broadcast. There are no constants (eg. time of day, weather conditions, etc.) that are in play. Is it possible they are reducing analog signal strength to allow for the new sub-channel?
