Refunds from Mobilicity - how long should it take?

I'm currently working with Mobilicity customer care to do a refund. Initially they said it would be a cheque and require 8 - 12 weeks for me to receive it. I thought it seems a bit long but mailing something out does take more time. They then told me since the amount is over a certain value they do not mail cheques for high amounts and will refund the amount to my credit card. They said this also takes 8 - 12 weeks.

I checked the Terms of Service and it vaguely states "your refund may arrive after some time."

Has anyone else gone through the refund process? How long did it take? 8 - 12 weeks for a credit card refund seems excessive.

Seems like the Terms of Service should be more specific.

Thank you.

4 week update

It has been 4 weeks and I am still waiting for the refund.

Interestingly, VISA has told me they only accept dispute claims within 60 days of the transaction. So if I wait the full 12 weeks and Mobilicity still hasn't processed the refund I will not be able to make a claim through VISA. Arg. VISA also says if a merchant claims they will refund the money in a specific time frame and that time frame has not yet elapsed then a claim is unlikely to succeed. So I wait....

Good news, the refund came on August 20. So it takes them 5 weeks to process a refund.
