I just switched my son over to Wind from Rogers, and he can't seem to get imessage to work on his iphone 5s. No matter what he tries, it keeps saying "waiting for activation." He called the Wind helpline but they weren't very helpful. Has anyone had this issue and solved it? Thx.
This issue as talked about on another apple support page. Others on that page claim they can get it work by doing a work around which to me is complicated but does work. But it doesn't always work all the time so you have to google it.

I was on Wind briefly and can confirm the suggested workaround for iMessage does indeed work — however it can be intermittent, in the sense that you may need several attempts before it takes.
Also note that for each attempt, you will incur an international text message charge, as the phone is sending an SMS to a U.K. number as part of its routine procedure to activate iMessage.
