Nope. Needs either HSPA or UMTS 1700.

I was looking at some Chinese phones, one came up with these frequency:

WCDMA 850/900/1700/1900/2100,GSM 850/900/1800/1900
Data Service GPRS,EDGE,HSDPA

so it has freq. 1700.
Would that be any good?
Tx!

Yup, as long as those specs are right, that one should work.

if you find a Chinese phone can you please share the link ?
i looked for ages for a Chinese phone and could not find any at a reasonable price

BTW the rogers sony ion works, my friend has one... of course after unlock... but in the online and paper specification it does not say 1700, but if you go in the phones settings it list all the frequencies including 1700

so some phones might work maybe because the 1700 is so rare that they just don't put it on the specs sheet

I want to use a Phablet on Wind. So far I cannot find one with both 1700/2100 MHz (Advanced Wireless Service) AWS frequencies. Just one or the other. Can it work with just one and which one.

Thanks

What you need is 1700, also known as band 4 or AWS-1.
