If it was obviously from Toyota then it would not have been very "successful" campaign. I am pretty sure the idea was to keep the audience in the dark and creating a buzz.
I am particularity careful with my home address. It is not online so I know if someone has it they have to know me or I have ordered something in the past.
Pretty stupid idea but hey common sense seems to be in short supply these days.
