Depends on what you want to do. If you want to listen to the radio, for instance, you will need a receiver, so the Polk works then. The Yamaha is much more expensive if you need to mount it on a wall, as the mounting bracket is another $100. It's included with the Polk. FS has run promotions with the SurroundBar and subwoofer for $699, though it's not available right now (should be on Boxing Day). I liked the sound of the Polk when we installed it, but have not compared it to the Yamaha.
