I saw this on the Shaw forum. Are they limiting bridge mode only to users of Internet 120 now?
The DPC3848V is capable of bridge mode (so as our Hitron CGNM-2250); however, bridge mode would only work with subscribers on our Internet 120 plan at this time
I just upgraded from an old 50 bundle plan to the new 120 plan (Internet only) and when the installer showed up with a new Hiltron modem to replace my old SMC, I confirmed the modem would run in bridged mode, and he said.. "What plan are you on?" I said: "120"... He said: "Good, you can only run bridged on 120".
I can confirm this too. Heard from Shaw customer service yesterday. You can disable wifi channels and enable passthrough, but in the process you'll need to contact Shaw customer service...
Hello, I recently signed up for 150 service. I have the Cisco modem/router but wish to use my apple time capsule.
Do I just disable wifi on the Cisco? Then setup my time capsule?
Thanks
