I currently have Fibe TV and Internet along with a very expensive home phone line. We want to change our home phone service to Ooma but keep the TV and Internet services. During the Ooma porting setup it says i need to contact my provider to setup a dry loop for the DSL services, has anyone done this before? it is a pretty simple process to do with Bell?
DSL is internet over phone cable. But you already have internet over fiber.
The Ooma doesn't know, or care, what type of internet connection you have.
Just plug it into a spare router port.
If DSL internet is provided by a third party, cancelling phone will often result in a complete line disconnection and loss of internet service. As Bell is providing internet and Fibe TV, it is unlikely.
