FIBE is not available in my area. I was getting 5MBs d/l speed with Home Hub 1000 and wanted more, obviously. Because I was paring down my media costs by dropping a lot of Bell Sat. channels etc. and was already off the Bell Home phone I asked for 'Loyalty' to see what they could do for me. They really need to retain customers and I was ready to walk. They found a way to offer me a 20 MB internet service by sending me a ZTE Turbo Hub and charging me $65 for 50 GIGs of down-load data. Read that again.
Everyone will have different needs and cost points and a wedge like mine, but I just wanted to alert those who didn't know that this service does exist. It was news to me when they brought it up!!
If I want to d/l something where times is not an issue I plug in the ethernet cable from my existing Bell modem with it's unlimited plan, for $12.50/mo.
a word to the wise.
