Hi,

I leave to Quebec.
Now I have Internet ADSL5 (limited to 5MBpS), and I'm obtaining:
- (6Mbps) with speedtest.net this:
- Ping to 9ms

Bell tell me that FIBE5 FTTH (Fibre to the Home) is available !
These next questions are for person that using FIBE5 now ?

Bell would like that I accept this... Does FIBE5 is really fastly than ADSL5 for download ?
Download is it over 6Mbps and PING under 9ms ?

Thanks

Apart from the name and the price, there is no difference between ADSL5 and Fibe5. It's just a rebranding scheme to confuse customers. 6Mbps is pretty standard for ADSL these days. Depending on distance from the nearest CO and configuration, it can be anywhere from 1MBps to 10Mbps but Bell ADSL rarely goes much over 6Mbps (maybe 7Mbps) and often ends up being slower.

Yes, I confirm that a fiber cable is near of my home, 3 meter !
Bell said me that I can obtain FIBE5 to FIBE300 and Fibe1000 !

Thanks ExDilber !
As you wrote that a download speed for FIBE5 is similar to ADSL5, so I will keep my ADSL5 service because I'm not interesting to pay for installation fee and for a new modem plus 2$/month for same speed !

Thanks
