Hi

My HH2000 is on the second floor. I use the wireless mostly on the first floor for Ipads etc. The Wi-Fi is terrible. I bought this router hoping it would solve the problem. Can I just plug it into the HH2000? Should I shut down the Wi-Fi on the HH2000? If I do will my one Wi-Fi receiver still work? I have one main receiver and 2 sub and only one of the subs is wireless.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

OK

So I connected the Asus to the HH2000 with Ethernet from a LAN port to the WAN port on the ASUS. I connected my main pc to a lan port on the ASUS. I disconnected the Wi-Fi on the HH2000. I connected my Wi-Fi receiver by Ethernet to the HH2000.

Everything seems to work ok and my Wi-Fi downstairs is great.

When picking a Wi-Fi signal I have 2 choices 2.4 or 5g so I guess this router doesn't choose itself. Does it matter which I pick?

Anything I may have missed?

I assume router is broadcasting on both, so you should be able to shut down one if you wish.
5G is faster, but doesn't penetrate so far
2.4g is prone to interference from cordless phones and microwave ovens
Whatever works. Your choice, I guess
