Why doesn't Giuseppe Rising Crust pizza rise but bakes flat, for 5th time now.

QU-Is this thread ok for General buying discussions, its about buying food?

So sometimes i buy Giuseppe pepperoni rising crust pizza and now for the 5th time, it bakes flat and doesn't rise. I notice after opening the box the thick plastic around the frozen pizza is loose and baggy and not air tight sealed but with no frost on pizza(which is good). I carefully cut the pizza in half while frozen and bake 1/2 at a time and
it doesn't rise. I bake other half next night and same thing happens. And the flat dough is horrible, its seems partly raw, heavy and rubbery.(the top of pizza and sauce tastes great but the flat crust dough is a nightmare). I also get (sorry to say) ummm, diahrrea after i eat it. So why does the Giuseppe pepperoni pizza i buy
bakes flat? Anyone know? This didnt happen when i bought it some years ago. I googled why doesn't Giuseppe frozen pizza rise and bakes flat and nothing shows. Maby im the first to post about this? What??

I highly suggest you look for some kind of food forum. This has nothing to do with the "Digital Home"

There are several possibilities.
1) Oven temperature not high enough.
1a) Most frozen pizzas need over 400F. Some need as high as 475F. Check the instructions. Make sure the oven is preheated to to the required temperature before putting the pizza in the oven.
1b) There could be an issue with the oven. Check the temperature with an oven thermometer.
2) Pizza not high enough in oven. It should be on the top rack an about 1/4 of the distance from the top.
3) Wrong type of tray. Most trays will work but a tray made for pizzas may work better.
4) Cook the whole pizza. Keep leftovers in the refrigerator and reheat them in a frying pan or in the oven.
