Are all LCD and Plasma TVs require HD digital tuners?

I only have a bell expressvu 4100 which is not an HD.

I still have a projection TV and looking for an LCD this Christmas for a recession sale.

Will bell expressvu box work for these newer TVs?

TIA

The box will work but if it isn't HD then you won't get HD on your TV - you will get SD either pillarboxed or stretched and it will likely look rather grainy. Some HDTVs have OTA ATSC tuners so they can receive a limited amount of HD channels without any box - see the OTA forum for more details.

BTV's HD STBs will work with all HDTVs. The TV's internal tuner is not used, as mentioned above it's used for OTA (over the air signals via antenna) and does not apply if you're going with BTV. The BTV HD STB plugs into the component video or HDMI ports on the back of the TV. See the following article on the topic:

Of course, some of this has already been discussed in your previous thread, where you may have some limitations due to the condo dish....

If you're asking if your existing STB will work with the new TVs, the answer is yes, however the following post on SD PQ may be relevant, as are Wayne's comments above.

You'll get a better price after Christmas. Especially now with the RECESSION it is a buyers' market for those with cash or credit. Have your nearest and dearest give you an IOU under the tree.

Are you sure? I think only for older models will get prices slashed for boxing days.
