No Samsung 860 series plasma in Canada?

Does anyone know if the 860 series Samsung plasmas are coming to Canada? The 850 series appears to be widely available but as far as I can tell, doesn't include the CineSmooth mode.

Samsung Canada has no plans to bring the '860 in this year. Idiots. They aren't going to stock the new 8500 series back-lit LED TVs either.

Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.

It’s been rumored that the cinema smooth can be turned on via the service menu on the 850.

I've considered it, and I may try in the future, but as of now I have NO complaints about the current blu-ray picture quality.

Confirmed that Cinema Smooth can easily be turned on via service menu.

Yes, but the real question is, Is it really doing anything?
Is there a confimable effect on the picture quality?

Good to hear. I would also like to know if it makes a difference.

Fricfrac, do you have the buzzing issue I've been hearing about with the Samsung Plasmas? There seem to be so many reports about this that I'm leaning towards getting the Panasonic TC-P58V10 instead when it comes out next month.

No, I've not had any buzzing problems with my panel and I've had mine for 3 months now and still loving it.
But, I've heard there is a fix for those that do have the buzzing issue, Samsungs’ not quick to acknowledge it, but, it is documented in their knowledge base (the fix is pretty simple, 3 or 4 rubber blocks are installed inside the panel and possibly upgrading a short piece of power cable also inside the panel)
I do spend a lot of time on another electronics forum and a couple people state that the cinema smooth does work on the 850, of course these are their personal opinions not confirmed fact.
