WLEP rf43 vc9-1 is back broadcasting. WVTT is booming, it's now an affiliate of the YouToo Network (what a blatant ripoff name eh?).

All of Erie, Cleveland usuals, WBNX, WVPX, WDLI, WGGN, WQHS, WNEO.

8:10am WKBN/WYFX, WFMJ, WPXI,

**Forgot to add, WSEE rf16 has added WICU on 35-3

Strange conditions last night after 18:30 until 22:00:

I lost all south Buffalo stations WGRZ, WIVB, WKBW and WNYO.
The weather was clear with temps around +5C.

Did other people have issues last night?

Something defiantly happened last weekend. We live downtown Toronto,

with good site lines and for the past five years above average consistency.

Most U.S. stations including 17.1 have all but disappeared. CFTO has become.

very unstable.I don’t believe in coincidences but my KWORLD 295 ATSC tuner

also stopped working. Its almost as if there has been some kind of deliberate

disruption.

lately I have been getting more distant stations. usually tied to the time of day and the weather. If you dont see channels coming in when it gets warmer then suspect you have some equipment issues. Like a bit of moisture or corrosing going on somewhere. I have found that some connectors can loosen off a bit with time. Also found that my rotor becomes out of whack and needs to be re-sinchronized somewhat. Nice to see Cleveland back but it does get so strong that it beats up other channels in my setup.

Flakey CBLT in the spring

Perfect timing for CBLT to go flakey and sometimes MIA when NHL playoffs are on...

This morn. 7-8am Clev. WJW,WEWS and WKYC which is quite rare for me to get.

A question about the hepburns........ Tropo happens when the colour is over your region you live??? is that a correct statement in reading the map???

Yes, as long as the bubble of colour is over your area tropo should be good BUT Hepburn's maps are like weather prognostications and are subject to change which is why I also use Jon Harder's real time tropo maps, they show ham propagation that usually matches UHF/VHF propagation.

Currently I'm getting WGGN Sandusky and several Clevelands which the Harder map shows, but the Hepburn map didn't predict.

Harders real time maps are found here:

VHF Propagation Map

Tropo is fickle and I've found using BOTH of these tools have helped me max my channel count and enjoyment of this weird hobby.

Great Hockey game tonight, Go Caps!
