Yet another one of their channels being rebranded. This is not the eSports channel but a different one. And what sport are they going to have? Women's football! I'm sure that will bring in the viewers, lol.

EDMONTON - Super Channel is readying a new sports programming sub-brand that will offer exclusive sporting events and sports themed programming to subscribers on Super Channel and Super Channel On Demand.
The broadcaster said Wednesday that Super Channel SPORTS’ flagship franchise will be women’s professional arena football league Legends Football League (LFL), an eight team U.S. sports franchise that will make its Canadian broadcast debut on April 22 at 9:00 PM ET on SC1.
An exclusive three-year deal will make Super Channel SPORTS the home of LFL Football Night through the 2019 season. Alongside the full-length games in HD, Super Channel SPORTS will also broadcast and make available online various complementary LFL programming, including player and team features.
“We are excited to bring the LFL to Canadian viewers and announce the launch of Super Channel SPORTS,” said Super Channel COO Don McDonald, in the news release. “The LFL is a proven sports franchise that is building in popularity around the world. We are sure that sports fans across the country will embrace this fast paced, high-impact sport that showcases the incredible athleticism, superior skill and tenacity of these female athletes.”
The LFL has aired in over 190 television territories around the world on major TV networks such as NBCUniversal, MTV Networks, SKY, ESPN International, SBS Broadcasting, and Televisa, continues the release.
“Canada has always been a major priority in building the LFL into a global sport”, added LFL managing partner Mitchell Mortaza. “This partnership with Super Channel SPORTS will be vital in introducing the sport nationally in anticipation of LFL Canada’s formal launch in Vancouver, Regina, Calgary and Toronto.” (Ed note: according to a spokesperson, the LFL is scheduled to launch in Canada in Fall 2019).
In addition to the LFL, Super Channel SPORTS will offer up to 20 hours per week of live sports programming, as well as sports documentaries, sports docuseries, specialty shows and biographical movies. The content will also be available to subscribers on Super Channel On Demand.
This is Super Channel’s second sports related announcement in the last week after the company revealed its plans to launch Canada’s first eSports channel.
