Frankly the EPG on the receiver is more than adequate for our purposes.

Otherwise in general, web forums related to the programs, to see new episodes and shows.

We use Zap2It.com to schedule our DVR on an Excel sheet and then go to the 630. Zap2It is our starting point.

I use zap2it as a reference as well. Good to setup favourites in an order you like, with popular channels listed first.

Yup, I've been a long time zap2it user & really like the fact that you can look 2 weeks ahead at the progamming.....as LONSat mentioned you can arrange the channels in what ever order you like.....

There's quite a bit of customizing you can do to get things set up just the way you like........

We set up the stations East to West so we see when a show airs first and then second and then third... (We don't get all that in the US!)

Then when we see something we like we put it on iCal. Of course shows we watch every week we repeat in iCal.

I also love Zap2It. I also use this for Canadian listings: Entertainment - TV Listings Guide | Television Schedule | Online TV Guide | Cable TV Listings although it's not great with the blurbs. To see what's coming up soon, I use these sites:

TV Premiere Dates (2017-18) - Metacritic good for U.S. stuff
Calendars | TV, eh? good for Canadian stuff
https://www.pogdesign.co.uk/cat/ good for Brit stuff

And this: TVmaze.com - Your personal TV guide often has good blurbs

Zap2It seems to have updated their site. My login doesn't work anymore and the forgot password doesn't recognize my email address. Looks like I have to reset up all my favourites, customizations and settings. Major Fail. So any other choices for listings seeing as Zap2It is making me set things up again, I might as well look at alternatives.

This thread in the What's On Television forum is probably a better place to discuss TV guides since it applies to all providers:

Help! Need TV guide!!

They're Back

Works for me. It sure looks different, but I did have to input some info; it looks like my favorites are there now shown as labeled in text as "STAR" as a link to those favs.
