Back in the big dish days of Videocipher/Digicipher - the system would have 2 sets of keys loaded. 1 set was for "this month" and the 2nd set was for "next month". On the 3rd day of the month, the keys for the following month would get loaded into the receiver/decoder.
If Shaw Direct have kept that type of system intact, they would have started loading the June authorization keys into the authorized receivers on May 3rd. A receiver if unplugged today (May 25) would likely be safe until late June. A receiver if unplugged on June 4th or 5th likely would be OK until the end of July. This sort of system is pretty forgiving for extended power outages.
