I have the RX V479, just noted the audio dropouts, only on the CTV HD channels. I have tried everything posted here trying some audio changes in the setup etc., see if that makes a difference. I also have a update, trying that will keep you informed.

I get the same problem from time to time with my 630 ,
a soft reset clears the problem. (push and hold the power button on your Satellite receiver till it reboots)
It's worth a try

I did some tweaking as far as settings, did a update on my Yamaha receiver and seems only 020 is the worst channel for audio dropouts.

I have a Sony AVR & 630DVR. There are occasional audio dropouts on 058 NBC Detroit ONLY noticeable with the 6:30 EDT NBC Evening News with Lester Holt. Sometimes a stutter on the video with that broadcast.

Has anyone found a solution for this problem, Shaw Direct and Yamaha Receivers. Audio Dropouts. I thought I found a solution,Only happens when I view the recordings. On the external hard drive or the internal hard drive. Yes I tried all the solutions here.

I never found a fix. I just have the Shaw receiver set to output stereo PCM, and then have the Yamaha receiver convert it to 5.1 using Pro Logic. Not as good as actual Dolby Digital 5.1, but that's the best I could come up with.

Thanks this seemed to work for me, watched a few recordings with the change as above, no more audio dropouts. See if it lasts. LOL
