Wonder what Shaw Direct will do with them discontinuing Speed HD and SD on April 1st? will they replace these channels with something else, would really like to have NFL Network in HD. Had a conversation a few months back with a CSR at Shaw D, I asked about a few stations which we would like to have in HD. His answer was channels are added in HD by how popular and requested they are. I find that very hard to believe, was BeIN sports the most requested and popular channel they could have added a couple of months back?

One thing I noticed was the bulletin on Shaw Broadcast for the removal of Speed channel has quietly disappeared. It's still on Shaw Direct and Shaw's website though.

I would just be happy with The Weather Network HD to be honest. Anyone else want to put in a request? The more the better!

They should really change their name to Sports Direct.

er .... they added beIN Sport a year late.
Still plenty of gaps in sport coverage.

They could make better use of their bandwidth and transponders and offer more choice, so I don't see the point in begrudging any channel they offer.

My channel count in my system status screen has gone up by one today but I don't see any new free previews or new channels. However, when this happened last time, beIN Sports launched so perhaps there is something else on the way or about to free preview. Wait and see

My channel count has gone down by 5 this morning. Was at 765 when the WWE Network was added last week but this morning it has dropped to 760. (East, Advanced Lineup) Something is going on.

Confirmed (Advanced East). Currently getting a 'Receiver has lost satellite signal.' message on both HD and SD. RIP Speed (Fox Sports Racing).

EDIT: To clarify, the video stream has gone, but the EPG number and listings are still currently there.

WFN (World Fishing Network) and W Movies have appeared today, presumably on free preview, both SD. The two TSN 're-locate' channels have been removed, though oddly not the TSN alternate (113 Advanced), which is no longer in use. Speed SD and HD also completely removed. Channel count same as yesterday (760).

Those channels were already there in SD, but they have appeared in my guide this morning. I assume them to be on free preview, though they are not flagged as such in the guide, nor on the SD website.

I have noticed that some channels are only available in SD. CMT, CTV2, WFN, W Movies are in Freeview, as noted in my IGuide. Why are these channels not available in HD?? Other providers have these channels in HD. Why doesn't Shaw Direct??

so what happened to Discovery Velocity? When did the FreeView end? Is it still on 279 East Classic, and the old satellites? Is it part of a decent package or a la carte?
