CP24, CBC Ottawa, and Fight Network HD are all to be launched in March.

I took my remote over and after changing the Remote code, I was able to get the Guide.

Easiest thing we decided to do was just order a NEW remote. Thanks for suggestions. Glad it was a simple fix.

I brought back to life some old remotes by taking them apart and cleaning the contacts with alcohol and a q-tip. Work MUCH better.

It's possible that these channels will not initially be available via Shaw Broadcast and thus the reason why they aren't mentioned in the transition plan.

Also all three of these might be going on Anik G1 and not necessarily Anik F1R or F2.

Interesting that SuperChannel 3 and 4 HD have been pushed back. Wonder if their financial reorganisation is impacting the decision to uplink these 2 channels in HD. Also if you look at the final Traffic Plan there is no mention of SuperChannel 3 and 4 HD. and late in phase 3 (2019) all 4 SuperChannel SD channels will be dropped. Either someone missed these channels in this iteration or it indicates a souring of the relationship between Shaw and SuperChannel or foretells SuperChannel's fate.

I wouldn't read too much into it. Super Channel 3 and 4 HD may end up on Anik G1. There are some feeds that will be moving off that satellite such as the Vancouver/Victoria locals.

French customers should see the following by the end of October; Canal Evasion HD, Super Ecran 4 HD, Max HD and Musique Plus HD

So out of curiosity I emailed Shaw Broadcast and asked about SC 3 and 4 HD and if they were going to show up on G1 or if it was an oversight to not list them on the MPEG4 plan. They didn't indicate they were going to show up on G1 and that I should contact Shaw Direct about them. It was a long shot that they would actually tell me anything as this is about the commercial relationship between the 3 parties, Shaw Direct, Shaw Broadcast and SuperChannel but I guess it's up to Shaw Direct to let us know.

It's weird and disappointing that their own station, Shaw Direct TV (Channel 299) isn't available in HD. It would be nice to have it in HD because they show some curling games on this channel that are not available elsewhere.

Several 'channels' added to the guide this morning stating that the duplicate HD channels in the 300s are to be (finally) removed. Also noted on the xKu channel (988?) it states that up-to 26 HD channels are coming in 2017. I would hope they would have a shuffle of the guide to accommodate things in a logical order, but it doesn't seem this will happen.

Shaw Direct TV (002/299) isn't in HD (though I would like it to be), but they do simulcast sports in HD occasionally on HD Sports 1 and HD Sports 2. I know they have done this for WHL, which for most of last season was blacked out in SD but not in HD - this year it's all blacked-out. I think they occasionally used to use those channels for Hockey Night in Canada with the Punjabi commentary back when CBC had it.

They're not really 'channels' - more like those promo adverts you get for PPV and such. You can't select them and they don't tune to any channel. They have the robot as the 'channel' logo and then a banner stating either HD channels start at 500 or that the duplicates will be removed, with text stating the same.

That must be the advanced line-up. I'm going to assume all the channels between 253-297 will go away at some point for the classic line-up.

Does channel 988 really say 26 new channels coming or is it the message about receiving up to 22-26 additional channels because they got rid of the HD Sports Plus and HD Extra packages?
