The problem with SD's (Motorola's) hardware is that they don't keep fixing bugs after they stop adding features or move on to new hardware. The stock answer is to buy new hardware at your own expense. I went though the same thing with Bell. Bell eventually fixed all the serious bugs in their units. SD doesn't seem to have the same commitment for it's hardware, operations or its customers.
/+OT/From my perspective as a customer, Shaw appears to be a cheap, shoddy outfit from the ground up. They appear to not spend money on upgrades or fixing problems because it might affect the Shaw family year end bonuses. That's pretty common with privately owned businesses. It's really starting to affect Shaw's core businesses now that the telcos are rolling out IPTV./-OT/
