SanDisk now shipping 64GB SDXC Memory Card

SanDisk Corporation, the world’s largest producer of flash memory cards, today announced that it has begun shipping its SanDisk Ultra SDXC (eXtended Capacity) for use in compatible digital cameras and camcorders.

Ottawa based Corel Corporation today announced the latest version of its consumer photo-editing and video-editing software for Windows.

New features in PaintShop Photo Pro X3 photo-editing software include a new organizer, multi-photo adjustment feature, object extractor and a project creator.

New Panasonic SDXC memory cards offer 64GB of storage

At the 2009 CES, the SD Card trade organization announced SDXC (eXtended Capacity) memory card specification which would provide up to 2 terabytes of storage capacity. The current generation of SDHC memory cards are limited to 32 GB capacities.

This year at CES, Panasonic announced its first SDXC cards, as well as compatible digital cameras and camcorders, would be available in February.

New Sony HD Camcorders coming in March

Sony announced that it will be introducing 11 hard disk drive and flash memory-based camcorders in Canada this coming spring.

The line-up includes both high definition and standard definition models ranging in price from $350 to $1,500 Canadian.

Panasonic intros three flash memory camcorders at CES

At CES, Panasonic introduced three high definition flash memory camcorders to its 2010 line-up, the HDC-HS60, HDC-TM55, and HDC-SD60.

All three camcorders come in black and feature 25x optical zoom, Intelligent Zoom, Intelligent Auto with Face Recognition, AF/AE Tracking, Intelligent Scene Selector, Intelligent Contrast Control, and Face Detection.

CES: Canon unveils 2010 line-up of Vixia Camcorders

In Las Vegas this week, Canon unveiled nine Vixia High Definition flash memory camcorders and three standard definition camcorders.

The 2010 high-definition lineup includes Canon’s flagship VIXIA HF S-series, the compact VIXIA HF M-series and a new entry-level VIXIA HF R-series.
