Apple has announced Aperture 3, the next major release of its photo editing and management software for Macs. Version 3 has over 200 new features including improved face detection and recognition technology, improved tools for photo retouching, ready to use image adjustments that emulate various photo processing styles, a full screen browser for navigating your image library and GPS support and built-in geotagging. Digital Home’s top pick on Blu-ray this week is “A Serious Man”, a black comedy film written, produced, and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen who are best known for such films as O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Raising Arizona, No Country for Old Men, Barton Fink, Fargo and Burn after Reading. CRTC rules on FreeHD satellite television application

CRTC rules on FreeHD satellite television application

The CRTC has ruled on an application by FreeHD Canada Inc. which would allow the company to operate a national direct-to-home (DTH) satellite television service offering only high definition channels. FreeHD Canada had applied to the CRTC for a licence last August with hopes of launching its satellite TV service in early 2011.
