Three new mobile devices from Alacatel OneTouch will be available in Canada starting tomorrow.

The Chinese manufacturer today announced that the IDOL X + smartphone and POP 8 tablet will be available nationwide on August 20 th at Telus and Koodo. The two devices join the POP Icon smartphone, launched last week as a prepaid device.

The IDOL X + has a 5-inch HD screen with 1920 x 1080 resolution, a 13MP camera, a 2.0GHz octa-score processor and 2GB of RAM with 16GB of storage powered by KitKat 4.4. You can expect up to 16 hours of talk time and 600 hours of standby on a fully charged 2500mAh battery.

It'll set you back $350 outright or $0 on a 2-year term.

The POP 8 tablet comes equipped with an 8-inch screen, 1280 x 800 colour touch display, a Quad-core 1.3 GHz processor, 4GB of storage and 2 MP camera. It also has a decent battery life, giving you up to 3.5 hours of gaming, 5.5 hours of video playback and 350 hours of standby time, while weighing in at just 325g.

The tablet can be purchased for $240 outright or for $0 through Telus’ Easy Tablet program.

The POP Icon is a great option if you’re looking for an entry level smartphone — it can be purchased for $150 on a prepaid plan with Telus. It may not be the most powerful smartphone on the market, but it’s a great budget-friendly option if you don’t need all the bells and whistles. It’s got a 5-inch 960 x 540 display, 5MP camera, 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 4B of storage. Expect up to 8 hours of talk time and 660 hours on standby.
