Videotron now offering wireless internet in remote parts of Quebec
In collaboration with Industry Canada’s Broadband Canada program, Videotron is now offering 4G wireless internet in various parts of Quebec where high-speed Internet has been previously been unavailable.
Videotron is now offering broadband internet service in the following regions: Beauce-Lower St. Lawrence, Victoriaville-Drummondville, Monteregie-Eastern Townships, Laurentians-Mont-Laurier, Lac-Saint-Jean and the North Shore.
The Wireless Internet service, which will cost $37.95 per month, will offer download speeds of 1.5 mbps and upload speeds of 384 kbps. The plan has a download cap of 10 GB per month.
The cost of installing the necessary equipment, consisting of a small outdoor antenna and a modem/router, is $150.
