LG Optimus LTE coming to Bell Mobility later this month
The LG Optimus LTE smartphone, which launched in South Korea last month, will be launched in Canada in coming weeks by Bell Mobility. It will be the second LTE smartphone offered by Bell following the HTC Raider.
Features of the device include LG’s Optimus LTE features a 4.5″ 720p HD display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, HSPA+ and 4G LTE connectivity, an 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front facing camera, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 1,830mAh battery, HDMI output, DLNA, WiFi, WiFi Direct, 2GB of internal storage, and a preloaded 8GB microSD card.
The device will come pre-loaded with several apps including the Bell Mobile TV app. The Mobile TV service is a monthly add-on for voice and data plan users. The cost is $5 per month for the first five hours of viewing and $1 an hour after that.
Bell did not provide a specific launch date nor any pricing for the Optimus. Based on the fine print in a Bell contest which gives entrants a chance to win the Optimus, blog site MobileSyrup predicts the smartphone will go on-sale on November 25th with a no contract price of $630.
