Globe2Go Android app now available

The Globe and Mail and NewspaperDirect today released an Android version of its popular Globe2Go app on Google’s Android Market.

With a weekly readership of almost a million people, The Globe and Mail is Canada’s largest-circulation national newspaper and second-largest daily newspaper after the Toronto Star.

The Globe and Mail is often described as Canada’s newspaper of record in the English language and is a must read for many Canadians.

The Globe2Go apps give subscribers a digital replica of all regional editions of the Globe and Mail’s printed newspaper edition including all advertisements.

The digital edition is available for download at 5:30 a.m. local time. For most subscribers, it means they will have access to The Globe and Mail will be available on their mobile devices before the print edition arrives.

A Digital Edition subscription is $20 a month, considerably less than the price of a printed subscription and much friendlier to the environment.
