BlackBerry 7 smartphones coming to MTS starting this month

The next-generation of BlackBerry 7 smartphones including the BlackBerry Torch 9810 and BlackBerry Bold 9900 are coming to MTS, the company announced today.

The BlackBerry Torch 9810 will go on sale at the end of August followed by the BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphone in early October.

“MTS has seen increasing demand for smartphones and we are pleased to make available to our customers throughout Manitoba the latest BlackBerry devices,” said MTS VP Stan Kurtas.

Building on the popular BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphones, the Torch 9810 is faster than its predecessor and features a 3.2 inch high resolution touch display and a distinctive slide-out BlackBerry keyboard.

The Bold 9900 is the thinnest BlackBerry smartphone to date featuring the iconic Blackberry keyboard, touch display and built-in support for NFC (Near Field Communications), a new technology that is enabling many new capabilities, including the ability to pair accessories or read SmartPoster tags with a tap of the smartphone.
