iPhone users more satisfied with their OS than other smartphone users

A recent report from ChangeWave Research has found that 70% of Apple iPhone users are very satisfied with their smartphone’s operating system (iOS) versus 50% for Android users, 27% for Windows OS users and 26% for Blackberry users.

The research firm surveyed 4,163 smartphone owners or potential smartphone owners in the United States and Canada between June 6th and June 15th, 2011.

In addition to asking respondents about how satisfied they were with their smartphone’s OS, the company asked potential buyers (those who said they plan on buying a smartphone in the next 3 months) what OS would be on their next device.

Apple iOS remains the number one preference with 46% of those planning to buy a smart phone in the next 90 days saying they prefer to have the Apple iOS on their new phone, up two percentage points from two months earlier. Android was named the preferred choice by 32% of potential buyers. Just 4% chose Blackberry.

RIM is very slow on releasing updates for their phones, which is probably a major result in poorer performance. Personally; I am not happy with my torch, as it crashes and reboots way to often. If it gets dropped, or if I attempt to replay a youtube video = bam…reboot! I am Still debating on switching brands.
