Telus cuts international roaming rates

Telus has announced that its cutting its international voice and data roaming rates effective June 27th.

The new voice rate per minute cost in Western Europe, Mexico, and Oceania will be $1.50 while the rate in Middle East, Caribbean and Latin America, China, India, and Africa will be $2.50 per minute.

Telus says the new voice roaming rates are 17% to 50% lower than what consumers are charged today. Data rates will fall 60% to a still whopping $10 per Megabyte.
