Pandigital Novel eReader comes with touch screen
Features of the new eReader include a 6-inch electrophoretic ePaper display with 600 x 800 resolution and 16 levels of greyscale, 2GB of internal memory and a battery life of up to 6,000 page-turns.
In addition to reading books, the Pandigital Novel also lets users browse the web with its built in browser and WiFi connectivity or listen to music through the use of the stereo-mini headphone jack. Additional convenience features include a built-in appointment calendar and alarm clock.
Other features include: a virtual keyboard for making notes or sending email; built-in dictionary, orientation sensor for automatically adjusting between portrait and landscape mode when the device is tilted; PDF & EPUB support; microSD memory card slot supporting up to 32GB cards; mini-usb port for the transfer of files between the device and a computer and integration with the Barnes & Noble eBookstore.
The Novel eReader weighs 9.1 ounces, measures 4.88”(w) x 6.75”(h) x 0.38”(d) and will go sale this month in the United States for $200 USD.
